What to Do If a Purchase Was Made on the Wrong Account?

If coins or a bundle went to the wrong Meta account (example: a parent/supervising account instead of a child’s account), the fix is:


Request a refund from Meta → then buy it again on the correct account.


Why this happens (and what we can’t do)

  • Meta handles payments and refunds for Quest purchases.
  • We can’t move coins/bundles between accounts or change which account received them.


What to do next

  1. Log into the Meta account that made the purchase (the account that received the coins/bundle).
  2. Request a refund through Meta (look for your Purchase History and choose Request Refund).
  3. After the refund is approved, log into the correct account (your child’s account) and repurchase the item.


Important notes

  • Refund eligibility depends on Meta’s rules and the type of item purchased. 
  • If you don’t see a refund option, you’ll need to contact Meta Support for help.
